Finally, Qin Jun generals headed by Ren Xiao and Zhao Tuo finally pacified South Vietnam and brought Guangdong and Guangxi into the territory of the Qin Empire.

After Qin Ershi acceded to the throne, Chen Sheng once hit a scene near Xianyang (an ancient place name) because of the peasant uprising army of Guangwu, and quickly ordered the release of 200,000 prisoners who built Mount Li, and led by the general to resist the peasant army. At the same time, Qin Ershi attached great importance to the 500,000 Qin Jun in Lingnan, so Qin Ershi ordered Ren Tao, Zhao Tuo and others to lead a 500,000-strong army to the north to help the Qin Empire.

At this point, Nanhai county magistrate Ren Tao was dying, overlooking the chaos of the world. Ren Tao, who was already ill, wanted to pass on his position to his immediate family, but he found that all his sons were unworthy. So Ren Tao, after much consideration, chose his old Zhao Tuo, and before he died, announced that he was the chief, telling him to ignore Qin Ershi's orders and occupy Lingnan alone, becoming a separatist force.

So after Ren Tao's death, Zhao Tuo, the absolute monarch, was alone, and immediately ordered the blockade of all the passes and roads leading to the Qin Dynasty. At the same time, a large number of local officials were replaced, all of whom were replaced by their own confidants, and their internal problems were quietly dealt with. In 206 BC, after learning of the demise of the Qin Dynasty, Zhao Tuo led 500,000 troops to the Western Expedition, and successively annexed Guilin County and Xiang Jun County. In 204 BC, Zhao Tuo announced the establishment of People's Republic of China (PRC), proclaimed himself emperor, and was called Emperor Wu of South Vietnam in history.
