Nianbadu Town Immigrants Ancient Town

Small immigrant society

It is the only ancient immigrant town in China with a surname of more than 100.

In 2008, it was located at the junction of the three provinces. It has become a local product in northern Fujian and Guangfeng, and a distribution center for commodities and department stores in Hangzhou, Ningbo, Tianjin and Qu. It is entirely because of its special geographical location. It used to be about a day's journey from the famous clear lake Pier. Before the development of modern transportation, it was mainly transported by water. The Jiangshan ship sailing back to Qiantang River is well known (Guo Moruo also mentioned in his memoirs that he saw the famous Jiangshan ship in Zhalongkou, Hangzhou). When ships land in clear lake, they must take the Xianxia Ancient Road, the only land passage, and Nianbadu is the only way. Goods also shipped from northern Fujian, Guangfeng and other places will be transported to clear lake, and then transferred to Hangzhou and Shanghai. It's a day's journey from Pucheng, Guangfeng or clear lake to Erbadu, so you need to rest for one night and start again early the next morning. Therefore, in 2008, it has become an important market town for border trade in the three provinces, a distribution center for local products and goods from the north and the south in the surrounding areas, where merchants gather and business is booming. At the peak, there are at least 50 restaurants (hotels), 60 wholesalers and hundreds of various transit warehouses.
