According to 20 18 of the Dutch tax bureau, when the amount of gifts you get from your parents within one year does not exceed 5,320 euros, you don't need to pay taxes, and you don't need to file a gift tax return.
If parents give gifts more than once a year, the total amount of tax exemption is limited to 5320 euros, and the excess is subject to gift tax.
In addition, both parents are regarded as the same donor, that is, when the total amount of gifts from both parents exceeds 5320 euros, gift tax is required.
It is acceptable to accept a one-time tax-free gift of 25,526 euros from parents, but this situation can only occur once in a lifetime, and the following conditions need to be met:
Your age is between 18 and 40 years old, or your partner is between 18 and 40 years old, inclusive;
It is not allowed to accept tax-free gifts of 5320 euros outside this year;
Last year, I didn't accept my parents' tax-free gift of more than 5,320 euros.
