Geographical location of Tanghe Reservoir

Tanghe Reservoir is built on the main section of Tanghe River, one of the main tributaries of Taizi River. Dongtanghe River and Xitanghe River meet to form Tanghe River, which is surrounded by mountains and is one of the pollution-free reservoirs in Liaoyang City.

Tanghe River is the main tributary of Wailiaohe Taizi River, which is formed by the confluence of two upstream rivers, east and west.

The west branch originated in Hanjialing, Jidongyu Township; The east branch is divided into the east branch and the west branch. The east branch originated from Yangziling Mountain in Helan Town, and the west branch originated from Xiongdonggou in Taziling Township and Song Jialing Mountain in Jidongyu Township of Liaoyang County. The east and west tributaries meet at the foot of Longshan Mountain in front of the dam site, forming the main stream of Tanghe River, which flows through Xishuang Village in Xiaotun Town and joins the Taizi River. The whole process is 50.9 kilometers.
