What kinds of visas are there in Spain?

Analysis of study visa in Spain

1. study visa

Studying in Spain is divided into two forms: studying at public expense and studying at one's own expense.

Studying abroad at public expense means that according to the agreement between Chinese and Western governments, Spain provides me with a certain number of scholarships every year, and the Ministry of Education of China is responsible for external contacts.

Studying abroad at one's own expense means that the applicant contacts a Spanish university himself, and the required materials refer to the requirements of other European countries. In principle, Spain does not apply for a self-funded study visa. In case of special circumstances, you must make an appointment with a consular officer before accepting the case. But meet the following conditions:

(1) must have a certain level of Spanish;

(2) Holding the original valid admission notice of a school in Spain;

(3) Holding academic qualifications and achievement certificates certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China and the Spanish Embassy in China notarized by provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government;

(4) Holding the original economic guarantee issued by Spanish or influential overseas Chinese;

(5) Detailed training plan;

(6) health certificate.

External contacts are generally in the form of letters, which can be written directly to relevant Spanish institutions or scientific research units, departments and tutors. In the first letter, you should attach your resume and training plan and explain the purpose of studying in Spain. If the other party requests to provide the above other information, it can be attached separately. If the other party agrees to accept it, a formal invitation letter will be sent, which should indicate the admission time, study period and financial burden.

After the embassy accepts the visa application, the applicant must fill in three visa forms and submit four photos. Then the embassy will report the passport and the above materials to the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the visa can only be processed after it is approved. The Spanish Embassy issues entry visas for three months, and you can apply for a residence permit from the local police station within three months after entering the country.

2. Immigrant visa

Spain is a country with a large number of immigrants in history, and has also received some immigrants in recent years. Spain has no special immigration law, and all immigration issues are stipulated in the rights and freedoms of Spanish foreigners. For foreigners who apply for immigration to Spain, the law stipulates that they can apply for an immigrant visa under the following four circumstances:

(1) the spouse of a Spanish citizen;

(2)/kloc-children adopted by Spanish citizens under the age of 0/8 abroad or abroad;

(3) Parents of Spanish citizens abroad (including adoptive parents);

(4) Brothers and sisters of Spanish citizens living abroad have no children to turn to.

Foreign citizens who meet the above conditions can apply to the local immigration bureau for immigration and settlement through their relatives who have settled in Spain. To apply for an immigrant visa, the applicant must go to the Spanish Embassy in China for an interview in person. When more than one person in a family applies for a visa at the same time, one person can be sent as a representative for an interview.

The following materials must be held during the interview:

(1) The original notarial certificate of kinship certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China and the Spanish Embassy in China issued by the notary office of the province, autonomous region or municipality directly under the Central Government where the applicant is located;

(2) The name, detailed address and original residence permit of the applicant's relatives in Spain or a copy certified and stamped by the relevant Spanish police station;

(3) The visa application form is in quadruplicate, with 4 photos of the applicant.

After the embassy accepts the visa application, it reports it to the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and after it is approved, it informs the applicant to go to the embassy to apply for a visa.

3. Tourist visa

The Spanish government stipulates that there are only three types of people who apply to visit relatives in Spain for more than three months: spouses; Minor children; Parents who have lost their labor force.

When visiting relatives in Spain and applying for an entry visa to the Spanish Embassy in China, China citizens are required to provide a certificate of kinship certified by the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Spanish Embassy in China (attached translation) and a copy of the residence certificate of relatives in Spain.

After receiving the application, the Spanish Embassy in China will forward it to the relevant domestic departments for approval, and then issue an entry visa after approval. The validity period of a Spanish entry visa is generally 3 months.

4. Work visa

The Spanish government allows foreigners aged 16 to work in Spain, but applicants must obtain residence permits and work permit certificates (that is, work contracts signed with Spanish employers or relatives and friends) before they can apply to the Spanish Embassy in China for entry formalities.

The validity period of the residence and work permit is 1 year, which can be extended upon expiration. China citizens can obtain work permits, mainly limited to the status of chefs.

Work and family reunion visas should be issued within 5 working days after the applicant submits the notice of approval from the embassy.

5. Transit visa

Those who book a joint flight ticket and stay for no more than 48 hours are exempt from a transit visa. Otherwise, you should apply for a transit visa and be allowed to stay for 5 days. The visa is valid for 3 months.

6. Official visa

To travel to Spain on business, you must provide the following materials to apply for a visa:

(1) Official invitation letter (telex is invalid), name of inviter, company name, address and telephone number;

(two) the name and passport number of the person going abroad;

(3) If you stay in Spain for more than 3 months, fill in 3 visa application forms and submit 3 photos.

The business visa will be issued within 5 working days after the application is submitted.

To apply for a visa for a stay of more than 1 month, trainees holding ordinary passports on business need to provide 2 notarial certificates with no criminal record, 2 academic certificates, 1 contract and health certificates respectively.
