Key laboratory of laser propulsion technology

201212 On February 7th, China's first State Key Laboratory of Laser Propulsion and Its Application was inaugurated in Equipment College. This indicates that China has taken a solid step in exploring new and efficient space propulsion technology.

The laboratory has a scientific and technological innovation team composed of academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, leading talents in science and technology, and young and middle-aged academic experts. It mainly conducts research on the application basis of laser propulsion, plasma flow control and propulsion technology, and propulsion flow field testing and diagnosis technology.
