What materials are needed for a study visa in the UK?
If you want to apply for a British student visa, you need to prepare the following materials:
1. CAS
Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies, which is the offer from British universities that students accept After paying the first tuition prepayment to the school to reserve a place, the school will issue an admission confirmation letter to the student. The steps for exchanging CAS will be clearly stated in the offer sent to you by the school. Just follow the instructions to complete it.
CAS is valid for 6 months. If it expires, you need to apply to the school again.
2. Language transcript: Original + copy of IELTS/TOEFL, or other transcript recognized by the embassy.
3. Degree certificate and graduation certificate: original + translation + copy.
4. Undergraduate/high school transcript: original + translated + copy.
5. Offer: Original + copy of conditional/unconditional admission notice. If you are studying a language + degree course, you need to provide admission notices for both courses.
6. Passport: Original + copy of a passport valid for at least six months. Please ensure there is at least one blank page (front and back). If you have an old passport, you need to provide the original of the old passport.
7. ID photo: A recent color photo with a white background and no hat, the size is 35*45mm.
8. Certificate of deposit
It is also commonly known as "margin". There are time deposits in your own or your parents' names in the four major banks (it is recommended to use Bank of China). The deposit is the first. The amount of tuition for the academic year and local living expenses at the school is generally 350,000 to 400,000.
The deposit period of this money must be more than 28 days, so that the certificate issued can be used for signature, and the date of issuance of the deposit certificate must not be more than one month from the date of signature.
It is recommended to make a fixed deposit, because the bank for current deposits may not necessarily issue you a certificate.
It is strongly recommended to keep the deposit in your own name, because if you deposit it in your own name, you only need to submit a deposit certificate + passbook/deposit receipt, but if you deposit it in your parents' name, you need to submit a deposit certificate + passbook or deposit certificate + account book + Birth certificate + Letter of sponsorship, it was a lot of trouble to prepare the materials.
9. Online application form
Fill in the form online, reserve a time to submit materials, pay online, and after completion, print the application form, sign and attach the date.
When filling out the form, you will be asked to pay the IHS fee (Immigration Health Surcharge) of 300 pounds. After completing the payment, you will receive a confirmation email, which must also be printed.
10. Tuberculosis test report from designated hospital
Find the nearest testing institution on the official website and make a phone appointment. The test report is valid for 6 months.
The above information is all general requirements, but because different majors in each school will have their own special requirements, if the university needs to know more detailed application requirements, you can follow your own application requirements through the Study Abroad Volunteer Reference System. Check the school background and academic performance to check the successful cases of past applications.
The study abroad application reference system is as follows:
/dingwei/?ozs=300-311
In the study abroad application reference system, we will see which schools the seniors in our department have gone to, which majors they have applied for, how many language scores they have passed, which study abroad agency they have used, and other information.
