Professional education:

The teaching and research section undertakes the teaching of forensic pathology courses for forensic undergraduates every year. Instruct doctoral and master students and train advanced students. Forensic identification:

1985 since the establishment of the forensic pathology department, the forensic pathology department has undertaken more than 1000 forensic pathologists. Using modern forensic theory and technology, we can scientifically, accurately and timely identify forensic pathological cases and serve the construction of socialist democracy and legal system. Insist on handling cases independently without external interference, adhere to the principles of seeking truth from facts, taking science as the basis and taking law as the criterion, and take scientific, objective and fair appraisal as the purpose to win the trust of the broad masses. Forensic autopsy and histopathological examination were carried out on all kinds of abnormal deaths, unexplained deaths, ill-treatment deaths, fights and medical disputes to identify the cause of death, time of death and time of injury.

Scientific research:

Main research interests: forensic medicine and clinical application of DNA genetic polymorphism (STR). At present, it has undertaken 3 scientific research projects in Shanxi Province and Taiyuan City, and won nearly 2 provincial-level scientific and technological progress awards. Nearly 50 scientific research papers have been published at home and abroad, and 4 of them have been included by SCI, BA and IM.

Professional education:

The teaching and research section not only undertakes the theoretical and experimental teaching of forensic evidence and forensic anthropology for forensic undergraduates, but also undertakes the teaching task of forensic evidence in forensic medicine of medical department. Four graduate students have been trained, and the professional textbooks or books edited or edited by the teachers in the teaching and research section include Forensic Material Evidence, Modern Forensic Medicine, Second Edition, Encyclopedia of Criminal Technology-Forensic Material Evidence, Medical Research Papers and Research Methods, etc. It has been published.

The Analysis and Teaching Department of Forensic Toxicology has undertaken more than ten provincial and university-level scientific research projects, with the main research direction of drug (poison) analysis and toxicology research in vivo and in vitro. The research topic is novel and the research method is advanced. The research in forensic toxicological analysis and Forensic Toxicology has formed its own characteristics and advantages, and it is in the forefront of similar disciplines in domestic universities.

Since 1995, more than 100 academic papers have been published in some well-known international and domestic professional magazines.

Our laboratory is fully equipped, including 1 GC/MS instrument produced by finnigan Company of the United States, two gas chromatographs, 1 dual-wavelength thin-layer scanner produced by Shimadzu Company of Japan, and fluorescence spectrophotometer, spectrophotometer, high-speed centrifuge, electronic balance and other instruments.

Under the unified leadership of the Judicial Appraisal Center of the College of Forensic Medicine of Shanxi Medical University, forensic toxicological analysis Teaching and Research Section undertakes more than hundreds of cases of various poison inspection sent by public security, inspection, law, companies, hospitals and other departments all over the province every year.
