Lvwan Lake is the largest reservoir in Guangdong Province.

Lvwan Lake Scenic Area is located in Dongyuan County, Guangdong Province, 6 kilometers away from Heyuan City. Xinfengjiang Reservoir, the largest artificial lake in South China, was formed by damming and storing water in Yaposhan Gorge, the narrowest mountain pass in Xinfengjiang, during the construction of Xinfengjiang Power Plant in 1958.

Xinfengjiang Reservoir covers an area of 370 square kilometers with a storage capacity of 654.38+03.9 billion cubic meters. It is named Lvwan Lake because it is green everywhere all year round. Lvwan Lake is 200 kilometers away from Guangzhou and Shenzhen, which can be called the "back garden" of the Pearl River Delta.

Xinfeng River is the largest tributary of Dongjiang River system, which originates from Yutian Station in Xinfeng County and flows into Dongjiang from west to south via Heyuan City. The total industrial output value of Qiandao Lake area is 6 billion yuan, while the industrial output value of Lv Wan Lake area is almost zero, and the ecological environment is good.

Magnificent waters: its longest length accounts for 84% of the whole river, reaching 140km, its widest point 12km, its deepest point is over 80m, and its average water depth is 30m. Being there is like being in an ocean in the mountains.

Pure water quality: the lake comes from the green forest, clear and pure, pollution-free. It can be directly drunk or indirectly supplied to Hong Kong through Shen Dong Water Supply Project. Its water quality is good, such as osmanthus fish, catfish and eel. Tofu, Niang wine and even tea made with water are especially sweet.

Beautiful water quality: the water temperature of the lake is almost constant all the year round, between 19-23 degrees, which is the golden point of normal body temperature. It is very suitable for people to play on the water, and the water sports time can reach more than 6 months all year round. In addition, the lake area is basically unaffected by typhoons, and there are few waves on the lake, which always looks so quiet and peaceful.
