Zhu Yuanzhang immigrated to Qingyang

In Huai 'an, Jiangsu Province, there is a famous Gu Xiang named Ma Xu Lane, where the great Premier Zhou was born, which makes the Lane even more famous. Ma Xu Xiang began in the Ming Dynasty, formerly known as Wang Xianxiang. Because the official residence sealed by Zhu Yuanzhang is in this township, the locals call it "Ma Xu Township".

Since ancient times, all Xu horses must marry the emperor's daughter (sister or aunt), but although Huang Chen was named Xu horse, she didn't actually marry Zhu Yuanzhang's daughter, so let's start with his wife Princess Qingyang. Zhu Yuanzhang, the Ming emperor, grew up in a miserable family. When he started fighting, most of his paternal relatives and friends were dead.

My nephew has only four relatives, namely Zhu Wenzheng, Li Wenzhong, Princess Qingyang and Princess Fucheng. Among them, Zhu Wenzheng and Princess Fucheng are children of Zhu Chongwu, Zhu Yuanzhang's eldest brother, and Li Wenzhong is the son of Zhu Yuanzhang's second sister. These three people are all Zhu Yuanzhang's close nephews (female). Only Princess Qingyang is an exception. Princess Qingyang's father is Zhu Zhongsi. Zhu Yuanzhang's father and brother are two. The eldest has four sons, named Zhu Chongyi to Zhu Chongsi, and the second has four sons, named Zhu Chongwu to Zhu Chongba.

Therefore, Zhu Zhongsi is the son of Uncle Zhu Yuanzhang and his cousin. In other words, Princess Qingyang is Zhu Yuanzhang's cousin. Before the establishment of the Ming Dynasty, Zhu Yuanzhang betrothed her to Huang Chen and gave birth to a son named Huang Xuan. There are few records about Chen in Ming history, but there is a story about Chen in Huai 'an.

When Zhu Yuanzhang attacked Zhang Shicheng, he recruited a general named Huang Chen in Huai 'an, which was very popular with Zhu Yuanzhang. At Pingjiang, Huang Chen took the lead and saved Zhu Yuanzhang's life. After the war, Zhu Yuanzhang learned that Huang Chen was 29 years old and had no family, so he discussed with Ma Huanghou and betrothed Princess Qingyang to Huang Chen, which made a beautiful marriage.

After the establishment of the Ming Dynasty, Zhu Yuanzhang named Princess Qingyang "Princess". The Minister of Rites objected, because Princess Qingyang's father was only Zhu Yuanzhang's cousin. According to ancient etiquette, Princess Qingyang can only be named as a monarch or a princess at most. But Zhu Yuanzhang remembered that only two nieces were still alive, so he made an exception and named them princesses.
