South Korea BC card related cooperation

Since 2004, we have been cooperating with China UnionPay in issuing cards, acquiring bills and marketing activities.

At the beginning of 2005, the acceptance business of UnionPay cards in Korean merchants' POS terminals and ATMs was officially opened. All bank cards with "UnionPay" logo (including debit cards, credit cards and dual-currency cards) can be swiped directly by Korean merchants, and cash in won can also be withdrawn from ATMs with "UnionPay" logo.

On February 4th, 2008, Korean BC Card Company and China UnionPay held a ceremony in Seoul, South Korea, announcing that Korean BC Card Company and its 1 1 member banks have officially issued the UnionPay Standard Card. Up to now, the circulation in South Korea has exceeded 2.2 million, and South Korea is one of the countries with the most active overseas distribution of UnionPay standard cards.

For UnionPay card, Korean BC Card Company and China UnionPay jointly launched credit card preferential activities in Korea. During the Mid-Autumn Festival, National Day, Spring Festival and other major holidays or even the whole year, taking the UnionPay channel is free of charge, which provides more affordable and convenient bank card payment services for China UnionPay customers. (1) "PIN merchant (password transaction merchant)" (mainstream merchant in Korea, generally marked as "UnionPay"):

Support all bank cards with "UnionPay" logo, including debit cards (also called savings cards), credit cards and card numbers.

Dual-currency cards starting with 4, 5, etc.

Note) If you use a dual-currency card, please be sure to tell the cashier to take the UnionPay channel to avoid overseas currency conversion fees.

(2) "Merchants without PIN (merchants without password)" (all merchants in Korea):

Support UnionPay standard credit card (beginning with card number 62)

Note) At present, UnionPay credit cards issued by China Industrial and Commercial Bank, China Agricultural Bank, China Bank, China Construction Bank, Bank of Communications, China CITIC Bank, China Everbright Bank, China Minsheng Bank, Guangdong Development Bank, Shenzhen Development Bank, Shanghai Pudong Development Bank, Bank of Shanghai, Bank of Beijing, Ping An Bank and other 14 commercial banks can be accepted by Korean merchants, and the number of card-issuing banks providing this service is increasing. Among them, ICBC UnionPay credit card holders need to apply to the bank for opening in advance before they can make signature verification payment. By September of 20 1 1, there were more than 40,000 ATMs in South Korea that supported UnionPay cards to withdraw cash, accounting for more than 90%.

For UnionPay card customers, Korean BC Card Company and China UnionPay jointly launched credit card preferential activities in Korea. In the Mid-Autumn Festival, National Day, Spring Festival and other major holidays, and even launched a year-round preferential activities. Preferential merchants include duty-free shops, department stores, shopping centers, large supermarkets, convenience stores, cosmetics stores, playgrounds, restaurants and so on.
