Zhexi reservoir basin

The control basin covers an area of 22,640 square kilometers, accounting for 80% of the total basin area, with a total storage capacity of 3.57 billion cubic meters. The installed capacity of the power station is 447,500 kilowatts, the annual power generation is 2.22 billion kilowatt hours, and the flood control storage capacity is 700 million cubic meters. The flood control standard of tail water is raised to once every 30 years, and 700,000 mu of farmland is protected. In terms of shipping, the upstream and downstream waterways can be upgraded by 300km. 1958 started and 1963 was completed. The completion of this power station has played a great role in the industrial and agricultural production in Hunan Province.

Zhexi dam site is located at the mouth of Darongxi Canyon, which is a V-shaped valley with a river width of 90 ~ 1 100 m, and the peaks on both sides are opposite. The overflow dam is arranged in the middle of the river, the diversion hydropower station is arranged on the right bank, and the navigation structure is arranged on the left bank, with a total length of 330m. Overflow dam The overflow dam section is 144m long, which consists of 8-span single pier big head dam and 2-span wide joint gravity dam. The width of the dam section of Datouba is 16m, and the head is rhombic. The maximum dam height is104m and1000m. In case of flood, the discharge flow is 15460m3/s and the discharge per unit width is103m3/(m s). The differential nose sill is used for energy dissipation. The non-overflow dam section is a gravity dam with wide joints, and the width of the dam section is 16m.

Zhexi Reservoir Area starts from Pingkou in the upper part and reaches Zhexi Power Station Dam in the lower part, with a length of 56km and a width of18km. The mountainous area is 70 square kilometers and the water surface is 85 square kilometers, including 45 isolated islands and peninsulas.
