Is there school bullying in the United States? What is the experience of studying in an American high school?
You can rest assured about school bullying. I am a sophomore from California.
As for the problem of small groups, for K-pop lovers, they have everything (still don't understand), or at least they may be an animation group, depending on where your school is, and there are quite a few.
Few people's parents are immigrants from Asia, not great-grandparents like me (from Europe). People who speak other languages as their first language find English particularly difficult, but math is easy because numbers are a language. Everyone wants to ask you questions, but depending on the size of your school, it may take some time for people to notice that you are new here.
The thing that you saw introduced to you by the teacher in the movie never happened to anyone in our class. I don't think you will be transferred in the middle of the year. It doesn't matter anyway. Most of the homework is only about half an hour of math class every night, unless you take AP course (high school college course) and have more homework. You may be good at some parts of history, such as the Vietnam War (we just learned this), but if you study American history, you may not know much, while others in the class study American history, and so do the eighth grade. English may be difficult because correct grammar is emphasized, but you can ask your new friend or teacher to check your paper and hand it in to check for mistakes. For reading, maybe you can buy this book in your book. Online mother tongue, or reading English version at your own pace, may increase your vocabulary, and you will know this book better than others in the class.
Some teachers are a little annoying because they don't spend too much time trying to teach you, but learning to be responsible for your education may be a good tool for universities (I don't know, I haven't been there yet). There is a stereotype, yes, but the stereotype of Asians is that you are smart. As far as I know, there is not much bullying, at least for nerds, geeks and idiots. Although other nerds will play pranks, the premise is that they don't think you will be angry. Just like your school, except that it is said that there is little homework. But learning to be responsible for your own education may be a good tool for going to college (I don't know, I haven't been there yet).
