Passport replacement process:

First, the passport was lost before leaving the country. The procedure is as follows:

Inform the Immigration Bureau of the loss of passport and visa first, and then inform the school to postpone the start date; Report the loss to the police station and obtain the report certificate; Publish a report of loss reporting in a newspaper designated by the local exit-entry administration at or above the municipal level; Bring my ID card and household registration book, and apply for a new passport at the local entry-exit administration office with the above two cards. The time limit stipulated in the procedure is 3 months; After obtaining the passport, get in touch with the embassy, submit a copy of the report certificate and the report of loss to the person in charge of the embassy, and go through the visa subsidy procedures.

Secondly, if the passport is lost abroad, there are two procedures:

1. Get in touch with the consulate as soon as possible and bring a copy of my passport and visa to the China Embassy and Consulate to report the loss. It takes about two to three months to handle the expenses. China Consulate will show students temporary id card, which will be used in a short time. Wait until the passport is completed, and then reissue the visa.

2. With the help of family members, you can also apply for a new passport at the domicile of China with the relevant certificates issued by the people of China and China's embassies and consulates abroad, and send it to Australia to apply for a new visa. Time can be mastered flexibly.

3. If you return to China after leaving the country, your passport will be lost.
