What is the employment situation like for Chinese college students studying in Belgium?

Study abroad! Okay

Since last year, the "Korean Wave" has quietly entered the study abroad market and gradually opened up its own study abroad market. But many people still don’t understand, is it good to study in South Korea?

There are several ways to study abroad in the current study abroad market. First, countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia are the mainstream; secondly, there are European countries such as France, Germany, Belgium, Sweden, and Austria; thirdly, countries such as France, Germany, Belgium, Sweden, and Austria are the mainstream. One type is study abroad in Asian countries such as Japan and South Korea, where students apply what they have learned. Since South Korea opened its doors to students from China in 2000, many people have turned their attention to this long and narrow peninsula. However, compared with other European and American developed countries, what are the differences between studying in South Korea and what are the advantages that they do not have? That's the point we want to tell you.

1. The Korean government provides strong support.

The Ministry of Education of South Korea recently announced that it will launch a "Study in South Korea Plan", aiming to attract more foreign students, especially students from Asian countries. To this end, the Ministry of Education of South Korea will expand the government scholarship program for foreign students, and the number of scholarships will increase from 55 to 75. The program is based on cooperation between governments, universities and companies, which provide internship units and ensure employment for foreign students after graduation. (See TIPS for application methods)

2. The cost is low and it is the choice for working-class families.

In South Korea, the annual tuition, accommodation and living expenses for international students add up to about 50,000 yuan, and most master's degrees in science and engineering are tuition-free. Students in master's and doctoral programs can use the dormitories of various universities, but students studying language cannot. Dormitory fees range from RMB 400 to RMB 1,000 per month, most of which are for dormitories. After enrolling in university, you can enjoy various preferential treatments such as scholarships, medical care, and insurance. There is no restriction on the school year after admission, and lifelong education is advocated. International students can work legally. There are quite a lot of scholarships in Korean universities, and the benefits are extremely wide. Generally, university scholarships are not awarded in the form of cash. They mainly reward students with international air tickets, which can be used to offset tuition fees, research fees, accommodation fees, etc.

3. Educational qualifications and financial guarantee requirements are not high.

For foreign students to enter general universities in Korea, they only need to pass the Korean language test level 4 certification and the university interview. When choosing a prestigious school in South Korea, you should reach Korean language level 5. Most students can reach level 4-5 within one to six months. The KPT (Korean Proficiency Test) is a Korean language test certified by the Korean government. Chinese students can take the KPT test held at Peking University and Shanghai International Studies University in September and October every year. The exam is divided into six levels. Everyone can sign up to take the exam at the corresponding level according to their own level.

The financial guarantee only requires a bank deposit certificate of more than 10,000 US dollars (a deposit of more than 1 month) or a domestic remittance certificate or money exchange certificate of more than 10,000 US dollars.

4. The job market is large.

The number of Korean companies investing in China is increasing year by year, making graduates who have both professional skills and language skills increasingly competitive in the job market. Korean companies need a large number of local talents to set up operations in China, especially in the communications, electronics, and automobile industries. Talents with overseas study background appear to have an advantage. It is relatively easy to find employment in Korean companies such as Beijing and Shanghai.

Studying abroad experience

Participating in university campus activities

The activities of Korean college students left an unforgettable impression on me. The Chinese Department holds a "Zhongtong Tongxin" cultural festival every autumn in November, and students choreograph and perform many wonderful programs. At this time, teachers and students from the Chinese Department of the adjacent Yousong University came to watch. After the performance, it has almost become a custom to have a banquet at a barbecue restaurant and then go to a pub to drink and party. The program mainly includes reciting Chinese stories, singing, and performing dramas. Mr. Park will perform the Tai Chi he learned while studying in China. Among them, students’ Chinese recitation performances are scored and awarded by teachers. The Chinese Department of Yousong University has an undergraduate program and is large-scale. The "Morning Celebration" cultural event is held every year. Teachers and students from the Chinese Department of Information University also attend, and it is also held in November. The cultural festivals of the two series are very short apart, which makes them a good time.

The Chinese Department of Yousong University performed dramas, which were large-scale and long-lasting. The scripts were adapted from Chinese movies. Last year it was "A Chinese Ghost Story" and this year it was "My Brothers and Sisters." The performances were both very good.

The department student activities I participated in include the party to welcome new students at the beginning of the semester, spring outing, the celebration of Teachers' Day on May 15th, the graduates' dinner, etc.
