How is Rongchang pig breed formed?

According to experts' research, at least in A.D. 1567, there was a "white tapir".

There are two views on the origin of Rongchang pig: immigration theory and local origin theory. Mr. Yu Deren and others advocated that "immigrants were brought in", arguing that in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties, many immigrants from Guangdong and Hunan moved to Sichuan, and white pigs flourished with the introduction. Mr. Huang Gucheng and others believe that Rongchang pig originated in Guchangzhou. At present, Rongchang pig not only covers nearly 100 districts, cities and counties in Sichuan and Chongqing, but also has been extended to all provinces, cities and autonomous regions except Taiwan Province Province because of its pure breeding and hybrid utilization.
