Brief Introduction of China National Women's Ice Hockey Team

China National Women's Ice Hockey Team belongs to China Ice Hockey Association, representing China in major international ice hockey events such as Winter Olympics, World Women's Ice Hockey Championships and Asian Winter Games. Most of the players are from Harbin women's ice hockey team. China women's ice hockey 1996 and 1999 won the gold medal in the Asian Winter Games, and 1998 won the fourth place in the Nagano Winter Olympics. It was once a strong team in the world women's ice hockey field and reached its glory in the mid-1990 s. During this period, the team won the fourth place in the Women's Ice Hockey World Championships twice, and was known as the "Great Wall of Wan Li, China". Now, the China women's ice hockey team has participated in the first group competition of the World Ice Hockey Championships. At present, the head coach is Hannu Santa Tula of Finland and team captain Qi Xueting.
