Going abroad process and required documents

Process of going abroad: apply for a passport (bring my photo, ID card and household registration book to the exit-entry office of the public security bureau where the household registration is located), apply for a visa, buy a ticket after applying for a passport and visa, and finally, it is best to buy a return ticket and print a receipt.

Required documents: passport, visa and travel documents.

Process of going abroad:

1. Passport application: Take my photo, ID card and household registration book to the exit and entry permit office of the public security bureau where the household registration is located to apply for a passport. 10 ~ 15 days is preferable;

2. Apply for a visa: If you have a passport, go to the embassy of that country to apply for a visa.

You can buy a plane ticket after you get your passport and visa.

4. It is recommended to determine the return trip in advance, buy a return ticket and print a receipt.

The documents required for going abroad are as follows:

1. Passport: Passport is a legal document issued by a country to prove the nationality and identity of its citizens when they enter or leave the country and travel or stay abroad. The word passport means port pass in English. In other words, a passport is a passport for citizens to pass through international ports in various countries. Therefore, some countries in the world usually issue passes instead of passports.

2. Visa: A visa is the endorsement and seal of the sovereign organ of a country on the passport or other travel documents held by its own or foreign citizens to show that they are allowed to enter or leave its own territory or pass through its own territory. It can also be said that it is an endorsement certificate issued to them. Generally speaking, a visa is a document issued by a country's entry-exit administration (such as immigration bureau or its embassy or consulate abroad) to approve the entry of foreign citizens. Visas are generally endorsed on passports, and some are endorsed on other travel documents instead of passports. Generally speaking, a visa must be used at the same time as a passport to be valid.

3. Travel documents: Citizens who have gone abroad for a short period of time cannot use their passports abroad because of their loss, theft or damage, and should apply for a travel permit of the People's Republic of China from China's embassies and consulates abroad or other overseas institutions entrusted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Twenty-third citizens who have gone abroad for a short period of time cannot use their passports abroad because their passports are lost, stolen or damaged, they should apply for a travel permit of the People's Republic of China to the China embassy or consulate abroad or other overseas institutions entrusted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

People's Republic of China (PRC) Exit and Entry Administration Law

Article 9 China citizens shall apply for passports or other travel documents when leaving or entering the country. China citizens who want to go to other countries or regions also need to obtain visas or other entry permits. However, unless the China government has signed visa exemption agreements with other governments or the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs provide otherwise. China citizens who leave or enter the country as seafarers and work on foreign ships shall apply for a seaman's certificate according to law.

People's Republic of China (PRC) Exit and Entry Administration Law

Eleventh China citizens leaving or entering the country shall submit their passports, other travel documents and other exit and entry documents to the entry-exit frontier inspection authorities, and shall go through the prescribed procedures before leaving or entering the country. At qualified ports, the entry-exit frontier inspection organs shall provide special passages and other convenient measures for China citizens to enter and leave the country.
