After Kublai Khan captured Dali, many Mongolians, Semu people and Middle Easterners came to settle in Yunnan, and the Hui people in Yunnan also entered Yunnan at this time. (4) After the Ming Dynasty expelled the Tatars and restored China, in order to consolidate his rule in Yunnan, Zhu Yuanzhang sent his adopted son Mu Ying to guard Yunnan, and recruited people from Jiangxi, Anhui, Jiangsu and other places to move to Yunnan. The colonization of Yunnan completely changed the fate of Yunnan, and the Han nationality became the main ethnic group, making Yunnan the eighteenth province of Han Dynasty. Since then, Yunnan has always been an inalienable part of China. (5) In the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties, Yunnan became the rear area of anti-Qing, and the Han population moved in again with the Nanming regime.
