Generally speaking, green card holders have not been back to the United States for 10 years. If they can't prove that they have a certain connection with the United States, their green cards may be revoked. Of course, before the green card is revoked, it is usually given an opportunity to explain.

If you can convince the Immigration Bureau that you have not given up your desire to get a green card in the United States, and for special reasons, such as your father is in the United States, has an American address and bank account, and you file tax returns every year, then the green card may not be cancelled.
