Is Bai Juyi from Shanxi? Shaanxi people? Or from Henan?

Bai Juyi's theory of native place is based on the textual research of the western regions, but Bai Juyi's descendants have different views on it.

There is still no sufficient evidence for Taiyuan's statement. The ancients often liked to climb famous people to discuss their family history (Bai Juyi said this about his family affairs, but it was actually difficult to find the connection between Bai Juyi and Bai Qi), so Bai Juyi's ancestral home in Shanxi was said to be the result of climbing. Bai Juyi's great-great grandfather became an official and made great contributions to the Northern Qi Dynasty. He was given two Zhuang houses, located in Hancheng, Shaanxi. Bai Zhishan, the ancestor of the Bai family, gave birth to Bai Wen, an official who became a doctor in the morning and a doctor in the school, and moved to Xia 'ao County, Iowa. Therefore, since it is common that all officials are doctors, Bai's nationality should be Shaanxi.

Bai Juyi's grandfather Bai Yong was an official in Gongxian County, Henan Province. After retirement, I bought a house and lived in Linyi Township, north of Xinzheng County, Xingyang. Later, Bai Juyi's father, Bai, led his family to Dongguo Village in the west of Xinzheng County. Bai Juyi was born in Dongguo Village, Xinzheng, Henan Province.

Bai Juyi became an official and lived in Luoyang, Henan for 18 years. After his death, he was buried at Pipa Peak in Dongshan (Xiangshan), Longmen, Luoyang.

So the conclusion is: Bai Juyi was born in Shaanxi, but Bai Juyi is from Henan.
