The requirements for settling in Japan are as follows:

1. Have lived in Japan for more than 10 years and worked for more than 5 years. Hold a residence qualification of 3 or 5 years at the time of application;

2. Abide by Japanese laws and regulations, such as no criminal record and no traffic violations;

3. Having sufficient income or assets to maintain life, with an annual income of not less than 3 million yen;

4. Have the obligation to pay taxes, and have no arrears in annuity and insurance.

China citizens shall apply for passports or other travel documents when leaving or entering the country.
