What are the conditions for American immigrants to apply for re-entry permit?

To apply for a re-entry permit to the United States, you must meet any of the following conditions:

If the green card was obtained through refugee or asylum status, they can also apply for a refugee travel permit. If you only have a student or work visa and have not submitted an immigration application, or have submitted an immigration application, but have not submitted an I-485 application due to scheduling problems, you cannot apply for a re-entry permit for the time being.
