1. Family migration

2. Marriage migration
Foreigners can obtain permanent residency by marrying Thai nationals. 3. Skilled immigrants

5. Work permit

Foreigners who violate the 1980 Law on Prohibited Occupations for Foreigners will be sentenced to a maximum of five years' imprisonment and a fine of 2,000 to 100000 baht.
The work permit must be carried with you or stored in the office for inspection. Offenders will be fined up to 1 000 baht.
If it is necessary to change the nature, address or unit of the existing job, it must be approved in advance, otherwise it will be punished with a maximum imprisonment of 1 month and a fine of 2000 baht.
Foreigners who are allowed to extend their working hours according to the Investment Promotion Law and other laws must report to the Labor Bureau of the Employment Department of the Ministry of Labor within 30 days after being informed of the approval. Violators will be fined up to 500 baht.
If you need to continue working after the work permit expires, you must apply for an extension in advance, otherwise you will be punished with imprisonment of up to 3 months and a fine of up to 5,000 baht.
If the work permit is damaged, you must apply for a new one within 15 days from the date of discovery.
Foreigners who change their names, nationalities, addresses and companies must apply for change as soon as possible.
If you stop working, you must return the work permit within 7 days from the date of stopping working, otherwise the maximum fine will be 1 000 baht.
