The Faroe Islands is an overseas autonomous territory of the Nordic country Denmark.

The Faroe Islands is located in the North Atlantic between Norway, Iceland, Scotland and shetland islands, about halfway between Iceland and Norway, near Iceland and Elian Hill in Scotland, and it is a stopover on the route from inland Europe to Iceland.
