Passport loss reporting process
1. When the passport held by a Chinese citizen is lost, stolen or robbed overseas, please report it to the local police department immediately so that it can be used as a backup when applying for an exit visa to the local immigration bureau. At the same time, please report it to the nearest Chinese Embassy Apply to the embassy or consulate for a replacement passport or travel document for return home.
2. If your passport is lost or stolen in the country, you must submit a loss report and replacement application to the exit and entry administration agency of the public security bureau of the local people’s government at or above the county level where your household registration is located.
1. Steps to apply for a new passport:
1. Bring your ID card and household registration book to the Exit and Entry Administration Office of the Public Security Bureau (Public Security Bureau at the county level and above) where your household registration is located to get the " Approval form for applications by Chinese citizens to travel abroad (border) for private purposes”.

5. Get the passport. After the Exit-Entry Administration Office of the Public Security Bureau accepts the application, the time for approval, production and issuance of the passport is 7 to 14 working days. When picking up your passport, you must bring your ID card or household register and the "application receipt for private exit documents".
To reissue a passport, you only need to follow the steps for ordinary passports and add the reason for the need to reissue. If it is damaged, submit the damaged certificate and a description of the reason for the damage; if it is lost or stolen, submit a description of the loss or theft. .

Reissue of stolen or damaged copy: 220 yuan/book (including reissue and annotation fee); reissue of lost copy: 420 yuan/book (including reissue fee) (A refill fee will be issued); refill: 20 yuan/book.
Same as applying for a passport, as long as the submitted materials are complete and correct, it usually takes two weeks.
After you lose your domestic passport, you need to reissue it. It usually takes 10 working days to process. If it is urgent, it will take 5 working days.
The reissue process is as follows:
