Hawaii, USA: Take a real shot of Pearl Harbor and visit the sunken battleship Arizona.

For many people, when they talk about Hawaii, they may think of sunshine, beaches, romance and leisure, but for Americans, there may be another kind of pain besides these, because there is Pearl Harbor here. In the early morning of February 7th, 194 1 10 was bombed by more than 300 Japanese planes, leaving a mess everywhere. More than 2,000 officers and men died, four ships sank completely, and countless ships and planes were hit hard. The United States officially declared war on Japan because of this incident.

The Hawaiian Islands are mainly composed of eight large islands and more than 100 small islands, the most famous of which is Oahu, which is the third largest island with an area of 1574 square kilometers, and is also the seat of Honolulu and Pearl Harbor, the state capital.

We flew from Xiamen to Seoul, Korea, and finally arrived in Hawaii after more than 8 hours' flight. I haven't slept all night, and my head seems to be short. Even the immigration officer asked me what my itinerary was in the United States, but I remember the next stop was San Francisco. After arriving in Oahu for lunch, the first stop was to visit Pearl Harbor, an American patriotic education base.

When I got off the bus, I found that the sunshine in Hawaii was not as strong as usual, and I could hardly keep my eyes open.

Pearl harbor is not the military port I imagined at all. Under the blue sky and white clouds, the grass is lush, and the lawn is dotted with coconut trees, which is a bit like a resort.

It was not until I saw this sculpture that I felt a bit like a port.

There is an endless stream of tourists visiting Pearl Harbor. Everyone went to the screening room to watch a short film about Pearl Harbor for about 20 minutes.

With a heavy heart, I walked out of the cinema and then took a boat to visit the Arizona Memorial.

When the ship gradually left the dock, the scenery around Pearl Harbor was clearly seen.

The weather in Hawaii is a bit like that in Europe. It's cloudy at the moment, but it will clear up later.

Four warships were completely sunk in Pearl Harbor. The others didn't sink completely, but they were badly damaged. After the incident, several warships were refurbished and continued to serve. Only Arizona, Oklahoma and Utah are no longer used, and Arizona is the most seriously damaged. Arizona Memorial Hall was built in memory of American soldiers who died in Pearl Harbor.

The Arizona Memorial Hall itself is very distinctive. Looking out from the memorial hall, it's a bit like being on a boat.

The oil in the tank of "Arizona" is still leaking out, and it will flow out a little at intervals. I prefer to believe that it is the victim's tears, dribs and drabs, flowing nonstop. . .

The ship gradually left the memorial hall and sincerely prayed for world peace and never war!

Another attraction related to Pearl Harbor in Oahu, Hawaii is the "Big Wind Mouth". There are many ancient volcanic ruins on Oahu, which are endless, but there is a gap at the big wind outlet, so strong winds roar through here. The wind here is at least 8 or above, so it is called "big tuyere". Because of its high terrain, Dafengkou is an excellent place to watch the northeast plain of Oahu Island.

There is a sharp peak on both sides of the big tuyere, which is quite eye-catching. It is these two peaks that mark the dive of Japanese air raid planes from here to bomb Pearl Harbor.

The wind at the air outlet is so strong that it is difficult for people to keep their balance when standing here, even the camera is unstable.

Overlooking Oahu

After visiting Dafengkou, the car went to visit the city.

This is the only palace in the United States, arani Palace, which was built in 1882 and is the palace of the last two monarchs in the Hawaiian Kingdom.

There are few pedestrians on the street, and almost all tourists are crowded in Waikiki seaside, which is quite deserted.

One thing I met here impressed me deeply. When crossing the zebra crossing, we all habitually stop at the red light. However, I didn't expect the vehicles that could completely pass the green light to see us standing on the zebra crossing and waiting to cross the road, which made everyone very moved.
