Is there a difference between Asians and China people?

There are differences. Asians are not equal to Chinese, because Asians refer to Asian foreign citizens in non-Asian areas, which is a general concept. Chinese-Americans only refer to foreign citizens of China descent, and Asians cannot be used to represent Chinese-Americans.
