American green card application conditions

To apply for a green card in the United States, you must meet the following five conditions:

1. Before applying for American citizenship, the applicant must live in the United States for a period of time and must live in the area under the jurisdiction of the local immigration office in the United States.

2. Applicants must be at least 18 years old _ and have obtained green card status for 5 years _ and have not left the United States for more than 6 months during this period. Or, the applicant has reached 18 _ and has been married and cohabited with an American citizen for 3 years _ and has not left the United States for more than 6 months during this period. At the same time, the spouse must be an American citizen for at least 3 years.

3. Have basic English listening, speaking, reading and writing skills, and have a good understanding of American history and government.

Know each other. To prove whether the applicant meets this requirement is to pass the citizenship examination. Immigration officials will ask 10 questions about American history and government knowledge, and applicants must answer at least 6 questions correctly to pass the exam.

4. Have good moral quality. If you want to become an American citizen, the applicant must be a person with good moral character. If the applicant does not tell the truth in the interview, the Immigration Bureau may refuse the application for naturalization on the grounds of "lack of good conduct". ?
