California 1 Highway is one of the most attractive highways in the United States. The wonderful scenery along the way is pleasing to the eye, full of beautiful combination of artificial and nature. You will appreciate different customs. Here, I will share with you a list of scenic spots along California 1 Highway.

California 1 Highway (Highway No.

1), named as one of the 50 scenic spots you can't miss in your life by National Geographic magazine, is also the most beautiful highway in America. The 1 highway runs through the entire western California coastline, all the way to Los Angeles, passing through various beautiful towns and beaches, as well as national parks.

There are so many scenic spots on Highway 1 that few people can walk it all at once. Including: Silicon Valley, Old Fisherman's Wharf, Monterrey, 17 Liwan Scenery, Carmel, Big Sur, Danish Town, bixby Bridge and so on.

I. 17 mile road

17Miles Road scenic spot is located in the beautiful Monterey peninsula and is the essence of the west coast of the United States.

17 mile road is called the most beautiful coastline in the world. It was built privately, and there was a charge. The price of each car is 10.25 USD.

Here you can see the spectacular seascape of stormy waves lapping on the shore and rolling up thousands of piles of snow. 17 mile road is also a place where rich Americans gather. All the way are luxury houses by the sea, enjoying the invincible sea view. There are also top golf courses for the rich. The ecological environment is excellent, and waterfowl, seals, squirrels and deer can all see it.

Two. Monterey town

Monterey is a famous seaside resort in California. The most famous is its whale watching activities at sea. On the fisherman's wharf, there are several whale watching companies, which can basically guarantee to see whales. The whole whale watching activity takes about 3 hours, and the ticket price is $39 per person.

The sea breeze in September was so cold that our jackets and fleece couldn't resist it and we shivered with cold. Fortunately, it is worthwhile to see whales, dolphins and seals successfully. Most of the time, you can only see the whale's jet from a distance, and at most you can see the whale's tail sticking out of the sea for a short time.

It was sheer luck to take a close-up picture of the whale jumping out of the sea.

In addition to whale watching, the aquarium is also worth a visit, claiming to be the best in America. Tickets are a bit expensive, 50 dollars/person, you can see all kinds of marine animals, listen to the staff lectures, and gain a lot.

The seafood pasta and oysters with French fries on the dock are delicious and worth recommending.

Three. Danish Fairy Tale Town-Solvan

Four. Elephant seal beach

San Simon is about 4-5 north of 1 highway.

A few miles away is elephant seal beach, where hundreds of elephant seals lie, just lying there, sleeping and sunbathing. Some seals are playing with each other. They are very cute. I was so excited to observe the seals in the coastal natural environment at such a close distance that I stopped for more than half an hour.

In addition to seal beach, seals can be seen in many places along the 1 highway, but here is the largest number.

6. bixby Bridge

This is the tallest concrete bridge in the world, built in 1932. It is the bridge with the highest appearance rate on the west coast. It is the landmark of 1 and can be seen from time to time in American movies.

Bixby Bridge is the gateway to Big Sur. Prior to this, the residents of Big Sur were almost isolated from the outside world in winter. When we arrived here by bus, it was already the end of the trip of 1, so we left in a hurry after a short stop.
