What is the cost of buying a house in Japan?
When buying Japanese real estate, the taxes to be paid include the following items.
Property purchase tax: generally speaking, it is the house purchase tax, and the tax is 3% of the current price;
Ownership registration tax: the tax amount is 1.5%.
Consumption tax: in Japan, you need to pay if you spend more than a certain amount at a time, and of course real estate is no exception;
Stamp duty: the tax to be paid when signing the house purchase contract, but the stamp duty is not based on the house price, but a fixed amount of 35,000 yen.
