China citizens may enter Costa Rica visa-free if they meet the following specific conditions:

1. China citizens can enter Costa Rica visa-free, as long as they have a valid multiple-entry visa (tourist visa, crew visa and business visa) for the United States (b 1- B2 or D only), Canada (multiple-entry) and/or any EU member state affixed to their passports. The stay in Colombia after entry cannot exceed the validity date of the visa, and can not exceed 30 days at most.

2. China citizens who hold Japanese multiple-entry visas (for tourism, business and crew) affixed to their passports and have a validity period of not less than 6 months from the date of arrival in Costa Rica can enter Costa Rica visa-free for a maximum stay of 30 days.
