If your green card is lost or stolen, you can get a "return letter" valid for one month, allowing airlines or other transportation companies to provide you with air tickets to return to the United States without being punished. To get this letter, you must convince US Citizenship and Immigration that you live legally in the United States.

To apply for a letter from the United States, you need to submit the following materials to the US Citizenship and Immigration Office in Guangzhou or Beijing:
