Among them, laying cables on the seabed is the first time in Quanzhou electric power history. In 2003, when the power supply project in Yuhui Island was completed, a number of livelihood projects such as digging wells, building roads and building primary school teachers' dormitories were also completed. The village appearance of Yuhui Island is completely new, and people live a leisurely and prosperous life on the isolated island. Electricity is used to realize the same price in urban and rural areas, and the power supply is uninterrupted for 24 hours. Every household has running water and is connected to a program-controlled telephone, and can enjoy surfing the Internet. "Yuhui Island has since bid farewell to the history of' power island' and' information island' and entered the network age." Xiao, secretary of the village branch, said that with the continuous help of the government and the efforts of the island residents, every household now has a TV and a telephone. It is no surprise that adults bring the latest mobile phones and children can surf the Internet freely on the island. Electricity has not only changed people's lives here, but also inserted wings into the economy of Huihui Island. Xiao Rose said that there is no need to worry about using electricity, and the aquaculture industry on the island has also developed. Television sets, computers, refrigerators and air conditioners also entered the villagers' homes. At present, there are more than 40 small fishing boats in Yu Hui Island, with nearly 800 mu of oysters, 650 mu of kelp, millions of abalones and 100 mu of Gracilaria. The per capita annual income of villagers reached 10500 yuan. In 2008, the island's electricity consumption reached 750,000 kWh, and a small shipyard was built. Today, Yu Hui has developed into a modern island with seafood farming and leisure tourism.
