Yellow River Xiaolangdi Scenic Area Water Control Project

Xiaolangdi Water Control Project is located on the main stream of the Yellow River, at the downstream of Sanmenxia Water Control Project130km, and 40km north of Luoyang City, Henan Province, with a control basin area of 694,000 square kilometers, accounting for 92.3% of the Yellow River basin area. The south bank of the dam site is Xiaolangdi Village in Mengjin County, and the north bank is Liaowu Village in Jiyuan City. It is the outlet of the last canyon in the middle reaches of the Yellow River and the only control project below Sanmenxia, the main stream of the Yellow River. It can not only control the flood of the Yellow River well, but also use its sediment storage capacity to intercept sediment, regulate water and sediment, and slow down the sedimentation of the downstream riverbed. 1991April, the Fourth Session of the Seventh National People's Congress approved the construction of Xiaolangdi Project during the Eighth Five-Year Plan period. The preliminary project construction of Xiaolangdi Project started in September 199 1, and the main project started in September 1994, and was closed in June 1997. The first unit was connected to the grid in 2000 1 month, and the main project was fully completed by the end of 20001year, which lasted 65,438+.

Xiaolangdi Project has completed 94.78 million cubic meters of earthwork excavation, 3.48 million cubic meters of concrete, 30,000 tons of steel structure and 200,000 immigrants. It has achieved good results in advancing the construction period, saving investment and excellent quality. It is praised by the World Bank as a model of cooperation projects between the World Bank and developing countries, and has won wide acclaim at home and abroad. From 2002 to 2008, Xiaolangdi Project passed the safety technical appraisal, the initial acceptance of project completion and resettlement, and the special acceptance of soil and water conservation, project archives, fire control facilities, environmental protection, labor safety and health. From June 5 to February 2008, Xiaolangdi Project passed the pre-acceptance of completion technology. On April 7, 2009, Xiaolangdi Project successfully passed the completion acceptance. Since the Xiaolangdi project was put into operation, it has brought great social, economic and ecological benefits, and made great contributions to ensuring the safety of people's lives and property in the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River, promoting economic and social development and protecting the ecological environment.
