In the past 15 years, Fu Qiang has donated more than 68,000 ml of blood and platelets for free, ranking first on the list of free blood donations in Anhui Province. The voluntary blood donation association he initiated and established has a total of 1.8 million ml of voluntary blood donations, accounting for 1/16 of the clinical blood volume in Ma'anshan City.

More than 20 years ago, a work accident caused Fu Qiang’s spinal compression fracture. He might have been paralyzed for life, but miraculously stood up a year later with the encouragement of his family and friends. Standing back on his feet, he was determined to repay fate's favor.

In 1998, Fu Qiang donated 400 ml of blood for the first time on a street blood donation promotion vehicle. In order to allow more people to join the voluntary blood donation team, in June 2005, Fu Qiang initiated the establishment of the Ma'anshan Red Cross Voluntary Blood Donation Volunteers Association, the first voluntary blood donation volunteer group in Anhui Province. In September 2011, a major traffic accident occurred in Ma'anshan. After hearing the news, Fu Qiang immediately organized and participated in blood donation and rescued the injured. He did not sleep for two days and one night. 88 volunteers donated 26,000 ml of blood, ensuring the blood needed for this clinical rescue. need.

Fu Qiang took the lead in establishing the Maanshan Love Delivery Volunteer Service Team in March 2007 and served as the captain. In the past six years, the service corps has attracted 1,229 caring people to join, and has carried out 335 volunteer service activities such as free blood donation, humanitarian aid, and caring for orphans and disabled children. It has organized 15 charity performances and dispatched 19,570 volunteers. Fu Qiang also asked his family to join the ranks of volunteers. His daughter is one of the top ten young people with virtue in Maanshan, and his wife is one of the top 100 outstanding volunteers in the country.

Fu Qiang won honorary titles such as the National Hundred Outstanding Volunteers, the National Gold Award for Voluntary Blood Donation, and the National Special Promotion Award for Voluntary Blood Donation, and was selected into the "China's Good People List."
