Collect baggage, submit customs declaration form and customs inspection

(1) Go to the baggage claim area according to the instructions on the aisle, and follow the computer screen or notices to find the baggage carousel for your flight. Take your luggage off the carousel and check the luggage number carefully.

(2) When queuing up for customs inspection, you may wish to choose the shortest line to queue up for inspection. Don't look around, hesitate, let alone watch another line clear the customs quickly and change lines temporarily, which may cause your behavior to become suspicious and subject to careful interrogation. Smile, be sincere, and answer all questions, but don't talk too much to avoid asking for trouble.

(3) When checking your luggage, you must present your documents. If the customs requires opening the box for inspection, open it immediately for inspection without hesitation. If the customs officer signals that you have passed, don’t be suspicious and immediately take your luggage and leave.

(4) If any prohibited items are found in your luggage and they are confiscated on the spot, do not bother, pack your bag and leave quickly.

(5) Always pay attention to your luggage ID and never leave it to prevent it from being stolen by others.

(6) If the amount brought into the country exceeds US$10,000, you should proactively declare it to the customs and fill in Form 4790.
