Mainland scientific and technological personnel who apply to come to Taiwan to participate in scientific and technological research, and outstanding national arts and folk craftsmen from the mainland who come to Taiwan to teach and practice, those whose approved stay period exceeds six months, may apply for their spouses and children under the age of twelve to come to Taiwan. (03) Mass communicators from mainland China who are under the age of 18 may apply to be accompanied by an immediate family member to come to Taiwan. 2. Required documents: (one original and two photocopies of application materials) (01) Fill in the travel permit application form in detail and attach a recent 2-inch half-length photo. (02), a copy of the Mainland Area Resident Identity Card (Mainland), a copy of the Hong Kong and Macao Permit (Hong Kong and Macao), or a copy of the Chinese passport (overseas) (those who have not yet received a Resident Identity Card can be replaced by a copy of the Permanent Population Registration Form). (03), Letter of Guarantee. (04), activity plan and schedule. (05), Group roster. (06), photocopy of invitation letter. (07) Relevant professional attainments or job certificates (please refer to the "Regulations Inquiry" for the requirements on the application document form that should be provided). (08). A copy of the certificate of establishment or registration of the inviting unit. However, a people's organization (or guild or association) should attach a copy of the certificate of establishment or registration for one year, and attach the latest year's affairs (including budget and final accounts report) approved by the competent authority. (Applicants who are in the mainland and have not yet obtained a third-region re-entry visa must, after arriving in Hong Kong, collect the original travel permit to Taiwan from China Travel Service with the return document issued by the Hong Kong government). 3. Application method: (01) Professionals from the mainland area who apply to come to Taiwan to engage in professional activities should apply in the following manner two months before the scheduled date of coming to Taiwan: 1. For those in the mainland area: the inviting unit will enter on their behalf Apply to the Immigration Bureau. 2. For those in a third region: The applicant shall apply to our embassy, ??consulate, representative office, office or other authorized agency abroad, and the application will be transferred to the Exit and Exit Administration Bureau for processing. However, if there is no agency stationed in the area, the inviting unit may apply to the Entry and Exit Bureau on its behalf. (02) Mass media professionals from mainland China who apply to visit, interview, film or produce programs in Taiwan should apply one month before the scheduled date of coming to Taiwan. However, this does not apply to those who have special needs for interviews. (03) Those who are Category A economic and trade professionals from Mainland China and work for multinational enterprises, or Category C or D economic and trade professionals or Mainland China science and technology professionals who are engaged in industrial science and technology activities may apply to come to Taiwan within ten days of the scheduled arrival date. If the application is made five working days before the scheduled arrival to Taiwan, if it is an emergency, the application may be made five working days before the scheduled arrival date in Taiwan; for mainland science and technology personnel coming to Taiwan to participate in scientific and technological research or engage in academic scientific and technological activities, during the period of application, The competent authority of each purpose enterprise shall decide separately. (04) When an applicant in the first paragraph of the preceding paragraph applies from a third region, the documents he/she should provide should be accompanied by an electronic file. 4. Period of stay and matters needing attention: (01) The period of stay for professionals from mainland China when coming to Taiwan shall not exceed two months from the day after entry, and shall be verified in detail according to the activity plan; upon expiration of the period of stay, an extension may be applied for; the total period of stay No more than four months per year. (02). Cultural and educational personnel from mainland China who come to Taiwan to give lectures and mass media personnel who come to Taiwan to visit, interview, film or produce programs must not stay longer than six months. However, if the lecture performance is good and further extension will produce greater performance, the applicant may apply for extension with the consent of the competent authority of the relevant purpose; the total stay period shall not exceed one year. (03) For outstanding national arts and folk craftsmen in mainland China, their stay shall not exceed one year. However, if the transfer performance is good and the extension can produce greater performance or extend the transfer plan to open up new areas of transfer, with the consent of the competent authority of the relevant purpose, the extension may be applied for, and the period shall not exceed one year; the total stay shall not exceed two years. (04). Science and technology professionals from mainland China who apply to come to Taiwan to participate in science and technology research must not stay longer than one year. However, if the research and development results are good, and the extension of the performance will produce greater performance or extend the research and development plan to create a new research field, the applicant may apply for an extension with the consent of the competent authority of the relevant purpose; the total stay shall not exceed six years.
