From the 11th year of Zheng Zheng, Yuan Shundi to the 27th year of Zheng Zheng (1351-kloc-0/367), the peasants in the Yuan Dynasty rebelled and overthrew the feudal dynasty.

At the end of Yuan Dynasty, politics was dark, and the internal political situation of the ruling class was turbulent. The Yuan government extorted money, the land was highly concentrated, the social economy declined, and class contradictions and ethnic contradictions intensified. In the eleventh year, Han, the leader of a private secret organization, and his disciples used the government to recruit 654.38+500,000 farmers to build the Yellow River. The peasants couldn't bear the bullying and heavy labor of Yuan officials and organized anti-Yuan activities. Word got out that Han was captured and killed and fled back to Yingzhou (now Fuyang, Anhui). In May, Liu Futong led an uprising with a red scarf on his head, which was called the Red Scarf Army. Later, he led the army to the west of Henan, and successively conquered Xiangcheng (now south of Xiangcheng, Henan), Luoshan (now Luoshan, Henan) and Zhenyang (now Zhengyang, Henan), and the team quickly developed to more than 100,000 people.

Under the influence of the Liu Futong Uprising, people's struggles against Yuan broke out in many places in the north and south of the Yangtze River, including:

Li Er (Sesame Plum) and Zhao Junyong in Xuzhou;

Guo Zixing, Sun Deya and Zhu Yuanzhang of Haozhou (now northeast of Fengyang, Anhui);

Buwangsan and Meng Haima in Xianghan Valley;

Qi (now Qichun, Hubei), Huang (now Huanggang, Hubei), Xu Shouhui, etc.

They all belong to the Red Scarf Army system, among which Liu Futong in the north and Xu Shouhui in the south are the strongest. The development of these two rebel armies divided the ruling area of the Yuan Dynasty into two parts, isolated the north and the south, and dealt a powerful blow to the rule of the Yuan Dynasty. In addition, there are Zhang Shicheng insurgents.

Specifically,

In the southeast, Zhang Shicheng occupied Pingjiang (now Suzhou, Jiangsu), Changzhou (now Changzhou, Jiangsu) and western Zhejiang.

In the northeast, the landlord Zhang Mingjian occupied Yangzhou (now Jiangsu) with the Tsing Yi army.

In the south, there was a Yuan Dynasty general, basire Buhua, who was stationed in Huizhou (now Shexian County, Anhui Province).

Xu Shouhui occupied Chizhou in the west (now Guichi, Anhui).

Chen Youliang, a native of Honghu Lake, Hubei Province (formerly known as mian yang), is of Han nationality. Founder of dahan regime at the end of yuan dynasty. Family business fishing. I was a county magistrate when I was young. After the peasant war broke out at the end of Yuan Dynasty, he joined the Red Scarf Army led by Xu Shouhui, Zou Pusheng and Ni Wenjun. At first he was a bookworm, and later he was promoted to a meritorious marshal. In September of the 17th year of Yuan (1357), Ni Wenjun killed Xu Shouhui and fled to Huangzhou. Chen Youliang took the opportunity to attack and kill Ni Wenjun and his entourage, calling himself an emissary, and later renamed Pingzhang, taking full control of the sky. In the following two years, the War against Yuan continued, and successively captured Anqing, Chizhou, Longxing (now Nanchang, Jiangxi), Ruizhou (now Gaoan, Jiangxi), Shaowu, Ji 'an, Fuzhou, Ganzhou, Xinzhou (now Shangrao, Jiangxi) and Xiangyang.
