The Hong Kong and Macau Permit, commonly known as a two-way permit, is issued by the Exit-Entry Administration Bureau of the People's Republic of China and the Ministry of Public Security to residents of mainland China traveling to Hong Kong or Macau for private purposes. Travel documents for traveling, visiting relatives, engaging in business, training, employment, studying abroad and other non-official activities. Passes are divided into individual travel, group travel, family visit, business, other, stay and other types.

The Hong Kong and Macau Pass is a valid ID document and can be used to check in to the hotel. Hong Kong and Macau Permit Application Conditions

Mainland residents can apply for a Hong Kong and Macau Permit separately as needed. Mainland residents who apply for a travel permit to and from Hong Kong and Macao and an endorsement at the same time, or who apply for an endorsement separately with a valid travel permit to and from Hong Kong and Macao, must meet the corresponding conditions based on different reasons:

(1) Visiting relatives

(3) Group travel

Participate in a group tour organized by a travel agency designated by the China National Tourism Administration to travel to Hong Kong or Macau.

Permanent residents with permanent residence in cities that operate individual travel businesses to Hong Kong and Macao, or non-regular residents who meet the conditions specified by the National Immigration Administration, apply for personal travel to Hong Kong or Macau travel.

(5) Stay

Those who are approved by the relevant departments of Hong Kong to go to Hong Kong for employment, study, employment, residence, training, or as dependents to go to Hong Kong to depend on relatives; approved by the relevant departments of Macao Persons who are approved to go to Macao for employment, study or employment, and relatives of employed persons who have been approved by the relevant departments of Macao to reside in Macao.
