Shang En En immigrated to Australia and became a lawyer after graduating from law school. In order to get married, she brought Alex, an American lawyer, home with her.

Her father Jingtai is a stubborn Korean and firmly opposes their marriage. He also said that Shan En's fiancé is in Korea and asked her to return to China to meet him before making a decision.
