Detailed steps:
American marriage immigration application
The first and simplest step is to ask citizens (green card holders) to submit the I- 130 form to the US Citizenship and Immigration Office where American citizens live. This step as long as you make sure that all the basic information of the applicant and beneficiary is correct! One more thing, the American address and China address on it should ensure that you can receive the letter. The email address left on the form is also important. In the later application process, the email address is even more important than the actual address!
After sending I- 130, the US Citizenship and Immigration Service will receive an email from the Immigration Service on the day when it receives the letter, confirming that the materials have been received. About a week later, I will receive an email with a receipt number. It means that immigration has already started hearing this case. You can track the whole application process online.
The whole trial process is divided into four stages: acceptance; First trial (first trial); Decision (trial result); Post-decision activities (post-test)
Step two: p 2. If the application is submitted in the United States, the approved I- 130 will be sent directly to the National Visa Center (NVC). After receiving the case, NVC will send a DS-230 package to the addresses in the United States and China. From the day the NVC mail applicant receives the materials, the third stage begins, which is called P3.
(If you choose to wait for paper DS-230 at P3 stage, it will take a long time. )
The first lesson of the third step is that you don't have to wait for a letter from NVC. After the second step, send an email to NVC immediately to change the electronic application plan, which can save nearly one month!
Another extremely important part of P3 is the materials needed for NVC. In fact, at the beginning of the first application, the materials needed by P3 should be ready.
Birth notarization, police innocence certificate and marriage notarization are all essential, and they are only valid for 6 months, so these only need to be handled after the completion of the second step, not in advance. It should be noted that, in fact, the birth notarization and marriage notarization have been submitted in the first step, but these materials were not available during the interview, and the latest notarization is needed. Don't save money on this point, it's good to make more copies!
General notarization takes more than three days, depending on the situation of the notary office. If you are lucky, you can get it the next day, and it may take more than a week when you are busy! Friends who have lived in other countries except Chinese mainland or Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan for more than half a year must do a good job of overseas police notarization in time, because it takes a long time to post overseas notarization, which may affect the progress!
Then there is the proof of funds, which is the key to the application! Tax bill is the key to successful application. Americans pay great attention to tax bills, which clearly state everything such as income, real estate, stocks and investments. Actual income, not after-tax income! The guarantor must sign I-864, and the co-guarantor must sign I-864A. Copies of the identity documents of the two guarantors, the original business opening certificate and work certificate, and the original tax bill (in fact, the original here refers to the documents in a unified format of the IRS, printed from the Internet, and there is no real original). All the materials mentioned above were found online, and after the first application was approved, it was sent to NVC by email to prepare! If these materials are successful, they will be ready within 7 days, and NVC will reply to the email in about one to two weeks. When the NVC reply case number is successfully changed, all scanned copies of all materials, such as DS-230, birth notarization, marriage notarization, notarization with no criminal record, financial proof materials, etc., can be sent to the email address given by nvcinquiry@state.gov NVC in pdf format in the same email.
Please note that if you don't get the case number of NVC, many emails may not be read by NVC, so please make sure that you have the case number after all scanned documents are sent.
I would like to remind you that if you can send all the materials in one email, it will greatly shorten the application time and avoid receiving some strange emails asking for supplementary materials.
If the materials are complete, you will receive an email from NVC on the seventh working day, and the content is the list. If all the items on the list are empty, it means that the material submission stage is completed, and then the exciting fourth stage is followed. Of course, everyone's situation is different. If there are special circumstances, please read the materials required by NVC carefully!
The fourth step, also called P4, is a very exciting step, that is, receiving the letter of appointment from the consulate!
The content required by P4 is very simple. First of all, remind the applicant to prepare all the original materials mentioned in P3, which is of course necessary! The second is physical examination. There are not many medical examination departments recognized by the US Consulate, only Beijing International Travel Health Care Center, Shanghai International Travel Health Care Center, Fujian Provincial Hospital and Guangdong International Travel Health Care Center.
All the above steps were successfully completed, namely: interview!
What should I bring, what can I save and what can't I save?
Try not to save if you can. Just get everything that others say ready!
The first is the question of whether to bring a one-year tax bill or a three-year tax bill. The answer is: 100% three-year tax bill! Don't read P3' letter, it only requires you to submit a tax bill for one year. This is an indispensable document, but if you don't submit the tax bill for the previous two years, your chances of passing it will be greatly reduced. Bank deposit certificate is very important. It is better to have a deposit certificate with a fixed amount, but it must be a deposit certificate of a bank of America, and other banks are invalid. Photos, not the more the better, but the more representative the better. The visa officer will look at some photos carefully. If he can find something he likes and thinks is enough to explain the problem, he won't continue to look through it. The so-called representativeness means wedding photos, photos with relatives and friends, photos with husband's life, honeymoon photos and various photos showing husband and wife's feelings. It is pointed out here that wedding photos are very important. Americans believe that China, a traditional country, may not be convincing without a decent wedding. At least please dress up and take a photo with your family. Then it is very important to take pictures of life. It is better to have photos showing that you have been to some places together, such as tourist attractions and places with names in them. It can prove all kinds of life connections before and after marriage.
The last question, which is also very sensitive, is whether you are DY. If: yes, or used to be, then the visa must not pass. This is a hard condition. You must not! Used to be. You must show evidence that you have left the organization. Even if evidence is provided, it is likely that the investigation will be shelved. This is very serious.
Example of interview questions:
1. How do you know your husband? How do you know your husband?
How long have you been dating? How long have you been together?
Where is your husband now? Since you met him in England, is he in England, America or China now?
Where is your husband now? As you met in England, where is he now? We? England? China?
4. What's your job? What do you do now?
5. Do you have a photo to prove it? Do you have any photos to prove yourself?
6. Does your husband have a bank account? Does your husband have a bank statement?
At this point, the entire visa application process is over.
