The Huang family settlements in various corners of Xiamen Island

1. Siming District:

1. Near "Ding'an Square" on Zhongshan Road, the Huang family from the Zhangzhou area gathers, forming the famous "Hubu Huang". The original "Hubu Huang" Huang's Ancestral Hall". The "Xiamen Jiangxia Hall" was built here a hundred years ago. The "Xiamen Jiangxia Hall" is the main ancestral hall for all Huang family members regardless of branch lines or regions.

2. Zengcuo'an Cangli Society, backed by Longhu Mountain, facing Xiamen Bay, overlooking Nantaiwu, and adjacent to Xiamen University. There are hundreds of people living in the Huang clan, and the branches are unknown. Judging from the couplets in their ancestral halls, there may be Qiaoshan, Ziyun, Puxi and other branches gathered together to form a clan.

3. Wucun Wenzao Club is located at the foot of Wanshou Wenping Mountain and is now a prosperous commercial district in Xiamen. Before liberation, "Wenzaohuang" was famous, both black and white, and its reputation spread far and wide. According to the genealogy provided by Wenzao clan members, this branch should belong to Ziyun Huangjinbangfang, which is very close to Meijinzhaihuang in Zhangzhoujiao, or may be brothers.

4. Guanyin Mountain Tapu Society (including Huangtou and Xiabao) is located on the eastern coast of Xiamen Island, facing Kinmen, Xiang'an and other places across the Jinxia Sea. According to the local genealogy and ancestral couplets, the Tapu Huang family belongs to the Ziyun Jinting branch and the Putian Jindun branch.

5. The Gulangyu Huang family is mainly a branch of the Meijinzhai Huang family in Zhangzhou Jiao, and some come from Zhangpu Tongshan, Pinghe, Nan'an and other places.

6. Huang House on Huandao Road. This should have been the residence of the Huang family in the past. Unfortunately, there were only a few households with the Huang surname, and they only moved in later.

2. Huli District:

1. Heshan Xiangdianshe (including Houpu) is located in the north-central part of Xiamen Island, at the intersection of Xianyue Road and Chenggong Avenue. Xiangdian Huang should belong to Ziyun Jinshan Huang. During the Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China, the Xiangdian Huang family immigrated to Luzon Island and became a famous hometown of overseas Chinese. Xiangdian Minnan-style ancient houses are neat, orderly and spectacular. There was a popular saying in Heshan, "If there is a Xiangdian, you will be rich, but if there is no Xiangdian, you will be rich." This shows that this was once the richest village in Heshan Township.

2. Gaolin Huangcuo Society is located near the current Wanda Plaza. Unfortunately, due to the reconstruction of the old city in the past ten years, it is difficult to see the historical ruins. Resettlement housing nearby for Huang's scattered residence. The branch lineage is unknown.

3. Xuecuo Huang Family is located in the northwest of Xiamen Island, adjacent to Yuehua Hotel. More than 30 years ago, when the Xiamen Special Economic Zone was established, foreign companies built factories here. The Huang family of Xuecuo and the Huang family of Xiangdian have a deep connection.
