Economics major wants to go abroad for postgraduate study.
Universities study hard and strive for a higher GPA, with an average score of more than 85 points. There is no resistance to applying for a good university. With an average score of more than 75 points, there is no resistance to applying for a university. If it is lower, you can apply, but you can only apply for ordinary schools. Failure is prohibited.
You can choose both IELTS and TOEFL. Which language test you choose depends on the country you apply for. Generally speaking, Commonwealth countries prefer IELTS, such as Britain, Australia and New Zealand. Of course, some schools in the United States and Canada now recognize IELTS scores. If you choose a country in North America, I suggest you take the TOEFL. Because IELTS is a topic in Cambridge, England, and TOEFL is an American proposition. If you choose a school in a Commonwealth country, you only need to take IELTS. If you choose the United States, you also need to take the GRE test (North American postgraduate entrance examination, American students also need to take it), which means that graduate students who want to apply for American universities must have both language scores (IELTS or TOEFL) and GRE scores before they can apply (mostly).
Because I only took IELTS, I'll give you some advice about IELTS. IELTS is divided into four parts: listening, speaking, reading and writing, with a perfect score of 9 for each subject. Cambridge series 1-2 is very different from the current exam because of its age, so it can be ignored. Cambridge series 3-8 are all original titles, so it is recommended to do more and try to figure out. Each series includes 4 sets of original titles, which are audible, readable and writable. With regard to single subject cohesion and listening, it is suggested that Lu's listening machine classics are all original questions, and IELTS vocabulary 807 listening is very good. Speaking, I suggest you look at Pai Cheng's IELTS speaking domino. In writing, I suggest reading Shen Xiaoying's 7-point composition instead of breaking the IELTS composition on the 10th. Reading and memorizing IELTS words is very important. Do more original questions of Cambridge series and add a set of IELTS reading questions with 9 points, which is still relatively recognized as close to the original questions of IELTS. Speaking and writing, I recommend two websites, one is 3g IELTS and the other is Worry-Free IELTS. There are many original questions about oral English and writing, which can be read and practiced more, including many experiences of getting high marks. IELTS has several exams every month. After the general examination, the roast ducks will share their feelings and experiences about the original questions. 3-5 days before each exam, some predictions will also be released. Remember, IELTS is not a sea tactic. You must understand methods, meanings, memorization and recitation. No matter how much you do, you can't improve your grades without absorbing it. Of course, the quantity must be guaranteed. In fact, in China, learning English and then learning IELTS, everyone's level is similar, especially writing and speaking. Of course, listening and reading are great. Except for English majors, you don't have to be afraid of your own zero foundation. If you are fully prepared and start to stick to it now, there will be no big problem. No pressure.
The IELTS requirement for most schools to recruit graduate students is between 6 and 7.5, and the single subject cannot be lower than 6 or 6.5. The requirements of each school are different. You should try your best to achieve the ideal IELTS score according to the requirements of the school you apply for. Because I am in Australia, I know Australia better. Now I only take Australian universities as an example for reference. At present, the IELTS requirements of eight famous universities in Australia are: 6 for Adelaide University (because Adelaide is considered as a remote area in Australia, so the score is slightly lower), 7.5 for Monash University (I don't know why Monash University is so high), 7 for Sydney University, Melbourne University and Australian National University, and 6.5 for the University of New South Wales, Perth University and Queensland University. At present, the University of Melbourne is the only one that requires GRE scores. Australia has been rated as a four-star university with IELTS score of 6 in China, such as Queensland University of Science and Technology, Griffith University and University of South Australia. Samsung is generally 5.5-6.
Regarding the cost, I want to say that Britain is the most expensive. At present, it costs at least 300,000 RMB a year. Although the UK is the most expensive, the postgraduate study time in the UK is also the shortest. It takes 14 months to get a master's degree, while in Australia, it takes one and a half to two years. One and a half years means that you have an undergraduate background, and some subjects you have studied in this science are offset by graduate courses, so you can reduce or exempt credits accordingly. The current cost in Australia is at least 250,000 RMB. Although it looks lower than Britain, it is still higher than Britain. But an important reason why many people choose Australia is that Britain can't immigrate, while Australia can. I don't know much about North America, so I won't comment here. The university fees in Hong Kong will be much lower, generally around RMB 6,543,800+a year, but none of the IELTS requirements in Hong Kong are lower than 7, so it is also a big hurdle for many students.
Because you are a business school, the scholarship application is not very promising, so I won't explain it too much here.
As for low fees, universities in the Netherlands, France and Germany are free of tuition for local students and international students, and only need to prepare a living allowance of 50,000 RMB per year. However, the disadvantage is that they need Karl Dehloff or Fife, in other words, they need to learn German or French. You can also try it if you are interested.
The answer to your question is as above. If you have any other questions, I will be happy to reply.
