Which country did Hawaii originally come from?

The Hawaiian Islands used to be an independent kingdom called Hawaii and the United States. From 1820, the US military entered the Hawaiian Islands, initially in the name of missionary work, and later actively engaged in political and economic activities.

By 1898, the United States annexed the Hawaiian Islands, and Hawaii officially became the 50th state of the United States in 1959. The five stars on the American flag eventually increased to 50.
