The application, processing and approval procedures for "over-aged children" to settle in Hong Kong will be basically the same as those for ordinary one-way permits at present. Eligible applicants can apply to the exit-entry administration department of the public security organ at or above the county level where their household registration is located from April 11year, and there is no application deadline. The first batch of applicants are "over-aged children" of Hong Kong residents in the Mainland, and their biological fathers or mothers obtained Hong Kong identity cards for the first time on or before 19791February 3 1 day. The mainland public security organs will announce the specific arrangements later. In the process of examination and approval by the mainland public security organs, the Hong Kong SAR Government will verify the information of the applicant's parents in Hong Kong upon request.
