(7) When applying for an ordinary passport, an active serviceman shall, in addition to the application materials mentioned in Items (1) and (2), submit his/her identity certificate (such as ID card and military officer's card) and its photocopy, as well as the opinions issued by the competent department of the military system with the power of examination and approval.
(8) In addition to the application materials in Items (1), (2), (3) and (4), the original and photocopy of the ordinary passport shall be submitted at the time of renewal. China citizens who have settled abroad apply for renewal of ordinary passports in a short period of time, and must also submit a valid overseas settlement certificate and a temporary residence permit issued by the public security organ of their temporary residence.
(9) To reissue an ordinary passport, in addition to the application materials in Items (1), (2), (3) and (4), an explanation of the damage, loss or theft of the original ordinary passport shall also be submitted; If you apply for a replacement due to damage to your ordinary passport, you must also submit the damaged ordinary passport. The time limit for issuing cross-provincial ordinary passports is 20 days. In remote areas or areas with inconvenient transportation or due to special circumstances, the exit-entry administration of public security organs cannot issue ordinary passports within the above time limit. With the approval of the person in charge of the exit-entry administration of provincial public security organs, the time limit for issuing ordinary passports can be extended to 30 working days.
Citizens can apply for an expedited ordinary passport under one of the following circumstances: going abroad to attend funerals or visiting critically ill patients; The entry permit or visa of the country of departure is about to expire; Go abroad urgently to attend the negotiation and signing of the meeting; The registration time for studying abroad is approaching, and the documents before going abroad are lost or damaged; Other urgent reasons identified by the exit-entry administration of the provincial public security organ need to leave the country immediately.
