Han Chinese immigrated to Yunnan in Ming Dynasty.

Songming is a county dominated by Han nationality, including Hui, Miao and Yi. Because bazi is big (the seventh flatland in Yunnan), the economy is developing well. Located in central and eastern Yunnan, it is one of the earliest areas where Chinese culture entered Yunnan. Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty established a county more than two thousand years ago, which is the same as Xundian County in the Han Dynasty. Today, an ancient tomb of the Han Dynasty in the Phoenix Wo Dynasty in the Song and Ming Dynasties was excavated, which is recognized as one of the birthplaces of Yunnan culture. From a cultural point of view, there is not much difference between here and Han counties in the mainland. But there are some local characteristics, such as lanterns, and many towns and villages don't end until the Lantern Festival. There is a warm custom of dragon dancing in the Spring Festival. Some towns and villages have the custom of bullfighting. After the Han Dynasty, Yunnan was ruled by the Yi regime for a long time, and the Han people either quit Yunnan or were ethnic minorities. Until the Yuan Dynasty, Yunnan was once again ruled by the Central Plains regime, and a large number of Han people immigrated to Yunnan in the early Ming Dynasty, forming a pattern dominated by Han people today. At present, some rural elderly women wear traditional blue cloth clothes and headscarves, which are exactly the same as the old-fashioned agricultural clothes in Jiangnan. Both Han people and ethnic minorities in Yunnan have had the custom of "June 24th", which is actually the Torch Festival of Yi people, which is rare in other provinces. Ethnic minorities also celebrate other major festivals of the Han nationality. Yi people have a fire pond culture, which is prevalent in most rural areas of Yunnan. Because Yunnan is located in the plateau, the temperature difference between morning and evening is large, it is warm during the day and very cold at night. In rural areas, especially in mountainous areas, people are used to burning fire pits for heating, which is found in Yunnan, Guizhou, western Hunan, Guangxi and Sichuan.
