Gandhi’s achievements...20 points!!!!!! First answer, first served~~
April 1893
An Indian company sent Gandhi to work in South Africa. He was disheartened to see that Indian immigrants in South Africa were largely deprived of their civil liberties and political rights. These immigrants were mainly indentured servants and self-employed traders. So he began fighting and lobbying against laws and racial discrimination against Indians in South Africa. He was criticized for not extending the law to all Africans. During his early days in South Africa, one incident was often mentioned. That is when he bought a first class ticket, refused to change to third class and was thrown out of a Pietermaritzburg train. In June 1903, Gandhi organized a pro-democracy movement against "The Black Act," which forced all Asians in South Africa to be registered. In September 1913, he participated in a campaign to invalidate marriages that did not follow Catholic rites.
