Why don't you need to provide a passport number to fill in an American visa online?

Apply for an American visa and register an account on the website, then go in and fill in your basic information, DS 160 confirmation number and other information. If parents or other family members travel together, there is no need to register multiple accounts, just use one account to make an appointment at the same time.

After filling in the information, a payment voucher will be generated. You can choose to pay online by debit card or at CITIC Bank. Online debit card payment can only be accepted by CITIC Bank. If there is no suggestion from CITIC Bank's online banking, payment will be made at CITIC Bank outlets.

If you need to apply for a business/tourist visa, you need to submit all the application materials when you go to the interview, including:

1. electronic application form for non-immigrant visa (DS- 160).

2. A valid travel passport to the United States must be valid for at least 6 months outside the scheduled stay in the United States (except for countries that have special agreements to enjoy visa exemption). If the passport contains more than one person, each visa applicant needs to submit a separate application.

3. A 2-inch by 2-inch (5. 1 cmx5.1cm) photo taken in the last six months.

4. If a visa is issued, a visa reciprocity fee may be required according to the nationality of the applicant.
